Compassionate around-the-clock care
|
|
Providing quality medical care for our patients is our commitment. Licensed physicians, physician’s assistants, and nurse practitioners are available full time to care for our patients. Registered nurses, assisted by LPNs and CNAs, are scheduled for every shift. A respiratory therapist is on site 24/7. The nutritional services department works to meet the specific nutritional needs of the residents as determined by our registered dietician. We also provide Alzheimer's care in a secured environment.
All departments work together to develop and maintain a comprehensive care plan for each patient. Our staff to patient ratio exceeds minimum state requirements.
To further expand services to our patients, we provide on site medical specialists. We offer dental and ophthalmic exams as well as consultations in podiatry, neurology, orthopedics, psychology and psychiatry. These on site services reduce the need for transportation to off campus appointments.

Respiratory
Management
Specialized
care around the clock
|
|
Patients with respiratory disorders know the anxiety that accompanies breathing
difficulties. By providing respiratory therapists 24 hours a day, our Respiratory
Management Unit helps alleviate this anxiety. The low therapist-to-patient ratio
allows our staff to provide individualized care and to achieve optimal results.
The Respiratory Management team addresses the following situations:
- Patients with pulmonary disease requiring endurance conditioning and pulmonary
rehabilitation
- Patients with tracheotomies
|
Our Respiratory Management Unit utilizes modern equipment and provides all
advanced modes of ventilation support. Clinical monitoring includes:
- Continuous pulse oximetry
- Redundant, external alarm systems for maximum patient monitoring
|
Our admission criteria have been developed according to the American College
of Chest Physicians guidelines. Prospective admissions are reviewed prior to
transfer to create a seamless continuum of care and provide a safe, smooth
transition from other facilities.
For those who pre-qualify, these in-patient respiratory services are covered
by Medicare Part A and most insurance providers. This allows a window of
opportunity to provide specialized care without taxing the patient's lifetime
hospital benefits. |
